Maja & Jessica Win!

2018 PrintROCKS! Awards

PPI – The NW Visual Communications Industries Association

From PPI:

“We are a thriving non-profit membership based trade association serving members that design and produce print, visual and graphic products.”

“Our geographic reach is broad and includes the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah and Washington.”

“We believe that some of the BEST PRINT in the WORLD comes from the six states PPI serves! Our regional firms deserved a venue to showcase their talents to the buying world, and that’s where PrintROCKS! was born. Every spring we invite those who produce, create, design, print, finish, mail and in any way work with visual communications to enter our annual competition.

“PPI is committed to marketing the winning participants in both competitions throughout the year to their current and potential buyers, as well as community members near and far. When you participate in PrintROCKS! you’ve gained a powerful marketing tool!”

On September 21, 2018, Salt Lake Community College Associate Professor Jessica Curran accompanied VAD Graphic Design & Communications student Maja Keefer to Portland, Oregon for the 2018 PrintROCKS! – The Best of the West awards presentation.

Maja entered her design from the 2018 SLCC Student Art Showcase poster/banner and an infographic banner. She won Best of Graphic Design – Student.

Jessica was surprised with an award honoring her extensive work in education – promoting and teaching print production in the SLCC Visual Art & Design Department – the 2018 Printastic Educator!

 Congratulations Maja and Jessica!
