The INK Show

an Alumni ART & DESIGN Group Show

Long shot with people

In 2010 Salt Lake Community College Visual Art & Design top Alumni Nadya Bratt & Casey Kim created INK, an online source for anyone interested in visual communication.

Associate Professor Kerry Gonzáles has been the “caretaker” of the INK site since 2011. Under Kerry’s direction, the site has been supported by volunteer SLCC Visual Art & Design Graphic Design students and alumni & friends.

In October 2015, Kerry assembled the very first INK Show. The exhibit presented the work of eighteen Alumni & Friends of INK.

The purpose of this exhibit was to show how a good foundation in Graphic Design may lead to success in numerous fields and careers. Many of the participants created works that presented the design process; brainstorming, preliminary drawings, color studies, etc. along with a finished product.

Associate Professor Kerry Gonzáles is proud to share the talents and creative directions taken by Alumni & Friends of INK. And, plans for future shows continue!

Kerry would like to thank all participants for their time and willingness to be a part of this endeavor. For support of Student-to-Alumni Networking, many thanks to The School of Arts, Communication & Media and most decidedly Dean Richard Scott for his enthusiasm.

“I am so very proud of my former students and friends of INK! They all started with a great foundation in graphic design. And just look at all the different paths they have taken. Wow! Did I say how PROUD I am?” ~ Associate Professor Kerry Gonzáles
