The drama club needs a logo for marketing, branding, recognition etc, and it’s a brand new club so we are asking if any students would like to design one. We have a $25 gift certificate to iTunes (or a vendor of their choice) to give up for the logo that is voted on and picked by the club members. It should include SLCC Drama Club somewhere in the logo, and incorporate the classic drama masks for comedy and drama.
Each year SLCC students compete in a variety of SkillsUSA competitions from Screen Printing to Cabinet Making; this year several VAD students competed and won their state competitions in a variety of design topics and continued onto the National event in Kansas City.
The State SkillsUSA event is held annually each spring at SLCC; participants win prizes for competing and winning. Some of this year’s winners took home a treasure trove of prizes including a year long Adobe CC Subscription and SLCC tuition waiver for the following year – some competitors even won prizes for attending the national competition.
This year the national competition took place in late June and comprised of an entire week of competitions and events. This year SLCC won two Gold Medals!
Congrats to all the participants and winners of the 2014 SkillsUSA National Championships.
