May’s theme is COMMITMENT
A commitment is a promise to show up whether you’re having a good or bad day.
It’s a behavior and mindset that signifies the posture of a professional. It’s about saying yes with your whole heart.
A creative life is built on the commitments you make to projects and people. It can feel like a leap of faith. But is that not the very essence of leading a creative life?
This month’s global exploration of Commitment was chosen by our Vienna chapter and illustrated by Florine Glück. Thank you to our global partners MailChimp, Adobe, and WordPress.com for their ongoing support of the CreativeMornings community.
Nine Ways to Stay Creative
Commencement is always a special event at SLCC, and this year the College is seeking a student from each School, who represents excellence. Each selected student will be featured in a video that will be played during Commencement (therefore, students must be willing to be on camera). Applications can be downloaded with the attached link and are due to your dean no later than Monday February 4th, 2013.

THE “INK PRIZE”
Congratulations to Shawn Growcock – winner of the first INK Prize for Design in the 2012 SLCC Student Art Showcase!
If you are interested in participating in the Mural project at the South City Campus this summer, please submit your e-mail address below to receive updates and coordination info. We’ll need to work as a team to conceptualize and implement this project.
The mural is volunteer-based project and can be used as a credential on your resume. Plus it should be a un summer activity. But be aware – by signing up, you’re making a commitment to be involved in all stages of the project development, so if you have scheduling conflicts that will significantly affect your participation, but still want to take part, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss arrangements.
There’s always great input on this blog. Do you have any thoughts on what’s working with this design and what’s not?
