2018 SLCC Student Art Showcase

Online Submissions: March 7 – 13

Each year the Visual Art & Design Department hosts an art show for Salt Lake Community College students. Maja Keefer, VAD Graphic Design student, designed this year’s poster. Her artwork can be seen on posters, banners and digital screens throughout the SLCC campuses.

VAD encourages all SLCC students to enter in the following categories:

• Fine Art: studio drawing, painting, various traditional and digital media

• Illustration: traditional and digital

• Photography: traditional and digital

• Design: print, screen printing, package design, type and calligraphy

• Mixed Media: includes artwork made with several different mediums combining the various categories

• Multimedia: web design and video

• Animation: 2D and 3D video

• 3D Design: jewelry, sculpture, pottery, ceramics and metalwork

Another wonderful Student Art Showcase has come and gone. We would like to thank all who participated. Without you, there would be no show!

Best of Show was awarded to Brooks Jones / Fine Art.

INK Award was awarded to Karli Duisen / Graphic Design.

The President’s Award chosen by SLCC President Deneece Huftalin was awarded to Brock Arbon / Fine Art.

SACM Dean Richard Scott gave the Dean’s Award to Joshua Watts / Animation.

Student Life & Leadership Award went Doary Buell / Photography.
