“Really happy how this cover art turned out. Yes, I designed it. Yes, that’s my old van on fire. Yes, the song is available in all streaming services. Yes, it’s called Night Drive by The Fever Drift. Yes, I’m in that band. Yes, we’re playing our first show this Sunday at Quarters in SLC. Any further questions?”

“I made this for work, and I love it! Incidentally, that seat cover was bright red originally. I’m very proud that I had the skill to change it to another color we offer in the same material. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!”

Cassidy Demkov

“I’m counting down the days to being able to being able to work out in my garden.”

“The Son de Flor Spring/Summer collection released today and it is just beautiful. My Garden Floral print is featured on a few different styles of dresses and a shawl. A link to the collection is in the comments if you’d like to see the entire collection.”

Amber Giles

“Happy Spring!🌸🐝

I have been thinking about the first day of spring today and what it represents. New growth, new beginnings, starting fresh and moving forward.

Flowers don’t automatically pop out of the ground. They have to go from their seeds/bulbs, struggle to push through layers and layers of dirt making sure they are getting the nutrients they need from the soil and moisture in the ground around them. Even when they reach the surface, there is still growing to be done before the flowers can bloom with their bright, vibrant colors.

If you feel you are in the midst of what seems to be endless, perpetual struggles in any or all areas of life, take courage. As this new season of the year begins, I hope you can remember that even flowers take time to bloom. There may be struggles to get there, but the end result is always worth it. So keep working. Keep going. Even if it is just one inch at a time. This season of struggle will pass and will lead you to some beautiful things in life.” ❤️🌷🌹🌺🌸🌼🌻

“Disconnect from the constantly moving, ever busy world around you to reconnect with who you really are.”

“It’s okay to take a step back when you are feeling overwhelmed with everything going on around you. We are constantly bombarded with podcasts, music, streaming services, social media, ads, games… We are not robots and need time to rest and recharge.”

“Closing off outside sources of constant noise and taking time to sit, be still and listen to the thoughts that move through my head has been a huge help in starting to reconnect with who I am. I still have a way to go but finding time to be still has been very beneficial. How do you disconnect from the world to reconnect with yourself?”

Matt Page

“Here is one of the projects I worked on at the real estate business I worked for. They were trying to get investors to invest in the two buildings marked in red. The POV is looking west onto downtown Salt Lake City. The story is that the four blocks east of State Street and south of 100 South are growing and what we think of as “hot downtown property” will soon include those four blocks.

So in order to help illustrate it, I wanted to show the skyline, with all the big existing buildings in the background and the blocks we’re focusing on in the foreground.

The top is what it looked like 5 years ago, the middle is what it looks like now (the green buildings are new) and the bottom is what it will look like in 5 years (the yellow buildings are planned).”

“My muse.”

Katrina Parkinson

“Katrina here! Fresh in our online store today. I’ve been getting back into stamp carving and block printing. I recently just taught a class for the Tooele County Arts Guild on stamp carving and it was a blast. Each print turns out slightly different depending on how the ink transfers to the paper so each piece is unique! Each print comes with its print date and artist signature. Comes in 5X7, you can purchase yours here: https://www.blackrabbitstudios.net/

“Friends & family, It’s been a long time coming, but @drinkbutter recently launched its first solo collection and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The ‘Butter Ball’, ‘Butter Dog’, ‘Dog with the Butter’, and ‘ButterTini’ Anorak jackets were created by yours truly and are available at drink-butter.com.

What started as a platform to post our films, edits, and IG cuts, quickly evolved into a place where skiers from all over the state, nation, and world have gradually come together over one shared interest — butter. Some of these skiers I’ve looked up to for years, some have just recently started to inspire me, and there will be plenty more down the line.

The whole point behind the butter is to spread love within the free-skiing community.

Specifically, to build up underdog skiers, crews, and brands that are beneficial for the culture, while also paying respect to those who paved the way for our sport. With the revenue from these designs, I plan to support other phenomenal people and projects within our community.

While it is always a great feeling to stomp a backflip, it’s even more special to encourage a friend to do their first. Here is to paying it forward and building up the next generation of skiers. 🍸

“My catalogs for work are done! The top one is the old catalog, at the bottom of the photo is my updated version. The photos all came out much darker than the proofs we were shown, but other than that, I’m pretty happy!”

“Hey all! As some of you know I am the president of the Tooele County Arts Guild. I will be instructing a Virtual Valentines Paint Night for TCAG next weekend. TCAG is a non profit organization and I work with some amazing people to help support the arts here in Tooele County. All earnings will go directly to our Guild to help us to continue offering fun and engaging artistic opportunities to our community. Please sign up to participate in a super fun virtual event and to support a really great cause. You will have a blast!” 🎨🎨🎨

Dianna Totland

“Haven’t painted in a really long time. I’ve had this blank canvas for over 2 years because I have a fear of ruining a perfect blank board/page/any medium. Therefore I tend to never do anything. Sad really. I’ve already assumed I failed. What is wrong with me? I know I’m not alone in this. Anyways, I’m pretty happy with how she turned out. I know there was more I could do better for next time. I’m just happy I finally got around to painting this empty canvas I’ve held onto, and with something I am happy with. Thanks. P.S. if anyone wants to teach me how to oil paint, I think this style would look awesome in oil.”

Missy Van Wagoner

“The little lady, Amanda Gorman stole the show! She is goals! I loved her words (a long with Pres. Biden’s) and was memorized by her hands. I’m excited to follow and see what this lil lady does in her lifetime. Holy cow. Amazing!”

“It has been an honor to spend the last week reflecting on some of my black heroes and sharing their messages and faces. Due to Covid and caring for my family, I cannot risk going to protests. However, it was not an option for me to not contribute to this movement in some way, so I decided to do what I do: create.

I hope these have given some meaning to someone out there. I am considering making some prints and donating the profits to the Black Lives Matter Global Network. If anyone is interested in something like that, please let me know. If not, feel free to save these digital copies. I also have PDF files for anyone who would prefer to print at home: bit.ly/helenalux-black-heroes. Much love to everyone right now during this crazy but important time in human history.”

“I needed to take a small break from painting this week. While looking through some old photos, I found this picture of Hudson and I in the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Francisco a couple years back. It’s been a cherished memory. We had such happy expressions on our faces I chose to recreate the picture in my sketchbook with some of my Art Nouveau touches.”

Dianna Totland

“I need another subject. 😂 at least I’m consistent with what I paint.”

“These beautiful babies are about to find their new homes! The JWD Shop Rag is my custom printed & designed thank you for clients and employers – I love how they turned out. Feels good to be making career moves.”

Lauren Waters

“June marks my third anniversary at @americancrafts . I haven’t used this space much to curate my 9-5 work, but I think I’d like to change that…

Let’s kick things off with some dinos, shall we? A couple weeks ago I finished reading Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Then over the weekend a friend rented out a theater to have a viewing of the original JP film. Seeing it larger than life was something else… 🤩 So I’m commemorating the occasion by sharing some of the dinosaurs I contributed to a @shimelle paper collection called Field Trip. They all look pretty friendly – just don’t get too close.” 🦕🏝🌋🦖
