“A couple patterns for a collection called Again & Again, released last fall by @americancrafts and @pinkpaislee. Probably the first floral I ever attempted that I didn’t want to immediately delete from my computer… I love – and hate – the challenge of trying new things and cultivating different skills. Since this pattern, I’ve become much more fond of creating florals!“

“It has been an honor to spend the last week reflecting on some of my black heroes and sharing their messages and faces. Due to Covid and caring for my family, I cannot risk going to protests. However, it was not an option for me to not contribute to this movement in some way, so I decided to do what I do: create.

Let’s kick things off with some dinos, shall we? A couple weeks ago I finished reading Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Then over the weekend a friend rented out a theater to have a viewing of the original JP film. Seeing it larger than life was something else… 🤩 So I’m commemorating the occasion by sharing some of the dinosaurs I contributed to a @shimelle paper collection called Field Trip. They all look pretty friendly – just don’t get too close.” 🦕🏝🌋🦖

This semester’s ART 2220 Advanced Design class held a successful presentation showing branding work created over the course of the fall semester. Alumni acted as reviewers in a “speed review” of ten minutes for students. Each student received five or six reviews. After the reviews, alumni showed their own work.
Fictional companies included Cerberus Motorcycles, Garden Avenue (florist), Humm (recording studio), and Moonlight Magick (new age store).
