👏👏👏 Saturday’s Review & Preview was a great success. Students from Associate Professor Kerry Gonzáles’ ART 2220 Advanced Design class presented their work for review by SLCC VAD alumni.

The branding collateral created by students Sandra Castaneda, Sara Correa, Rebecca Funes, Mekel Muy, Pablo Pinet, Layla Fiod Pitauluga, Amanda Osbourne, Kyrsten Shiflett, Alexis Smith (see photo above), and Brice Roundy was created over the course of this Spring Semester. The project included designs for a logo, letterhead/envelope/business card, kit cover, brochure, magazine ad and annual report cover/spreads.

Thanks to alumni for generously volunteering their time and expertise: Karli Duisen, Melyssa Ferguson, Amber Giles, Ben Heighton, Christine Hunsaker, Kevin Landeen, Jorge Pille, Austin Record, Kristy Sabey, Em Veylupek and Lauren Donna Waters.

Thanks also to Alex Gonzáles for sharing his printing industry expertise. Next Review & Preview… the first week in December! 😊😄😁

Congratulations Jorge!

“After putting it off for all these years, my mom, Ofelia Pille and I finally decided to become U.S. Citizens. We applied in March 2017, passed our interviews in March 2018, and today we finally took our Oath! It’s official!!”

Congratulations to VAD Graphic Design alumnus Jorge and his mother. We are all so very proud of you!

In 2010, Salt Lake Community College Visual Art & Design Graphic Design students Nadya Bratt & Casey Kim created INK as a club for anyone interested in Graphic Design. After their graduation from SLCC, INK evolved into an online source for those passionate about the visual communication industry by offering access to news, resources, and networking.

VAD Associate Professor Kerry Gonzáles and caretaker for INK, is proud to share the talents and creative directions taken by Alumni & Friends of INK in this – the third annual – INK, an Alumni Art & Design Group Show.

Each piece showcases the design process from initial research and ideas to a completed product. And most importantly… how a good foundation in graphic design is used in a multitude of careers.
